Martin is 15th in the league in efficiency right now- he has been playing pretty solid basketball for the nuggets I'd say.
overpaic?? Mcgrady makes almost the same amount of money as Martin!!!!! Thats insane!!! Mcgrady is an elite while martin is questionable if he is a star.

Try the math (salaries per Hoopshype)

TMac $14,487,000 and Kenyon $11,000,000*

* This is total figure for the season (for cap purposes) that includes an upfront bonus, the actually salary is less than $10,000,000

Well Tellem can say that JR didn't tank those workouts, but from hearing about Kiki at the McDonald's All-American practice, to Melo at the game talking to JR, to JR having an amazing workout for the Nuggets than playing absolutely terrible in every single one after, I had to connect the dots.

I mean JR and his family said they had a guarantee and if he would have did what Robert Swift did and not worked out at all, he would have went in the top 12 IMO. They did all they could to get him down to Denver, but it wasn't enough.

I agree about the Hornets organization, but hopefully B. Scott can get the most out of him and eventually put David Wesley out of his misery. Wesley is terrible as a starter.

Wesley isn't much as a starter, but he would make a hell of a 6th man on pretty much any team. He's got a lightning quick release and knows how to get people off balance. He reminds me a lot of a Ricky Pierce/Dell Curry type player. If Byron Scott knows anything, Wesley will be playing their type of role sooner rather than later.

I've been a big supporter but, i'm beginning to see the light on this one. My homerosity has worn off.
Come on, he has an offensive game. Sure it's just dunking, but that still counts as an offensive game.

I said back during the off-season, that the Nugz, should have went after Ray Allen and tried to get a trade going. Martin is going to be incredibly overpaid in two years.

The Nuggets got screwed however, when JR Smith was taken by the Hornets. They had JR tanking workouts to get down to 20, but it didn't work. Poor Kiki, panicked and did the wrong decision IMO.
I agree, way too much money to pay a guy with some limitations in his offense, and is not much more than a decent defender.

Big mistake by the Nuggets unless they can find a better way to use his talents.

93 million for all that. Oh to be athletic and tall (I'm only 6'3). I'd be sitting on dubs right now.

KMart is a bit overrated, but he's still a pretty solid PF, and he gives the Nuggets the kind of athletic frontcourt that is going to cause the traditional WC powers all sorts of problems. (see Utah)
Are you suggestion that he would/will give Utah matchup problems? If so you must have posted this before last night's game...

Let me add that AK47 is a guy who brings it...Kenyon brings it when he's in the mood.

Kenyon Martin last year:

16.7 ppg on 13.8 shots per game

So far this year:

15 ppg on 12 shots per game

How exactly is he getting exposed?

It sickens me how everyone goes to the Kidd argument non-stop, when pretty much all of Kenyon's points last year came from him setting shop in the paint and using his athleticism to go over or around his defender.

Kenyon is not a good offensive player, but he's not nearly as bad as everyone here makes him out to be.

K-Mart is a top notch defender. To call him decent is an insult.
