Game 12: Nets @ Sonics--11.26.04

New Jersey Nets (2-9) at Seattle Supersonics (11-2)
Friday, 11.26.2004, 10:30 PM EST
KeyArena - Seattle, WA
TV: YES, FSN_SEA, NBALP
NetsDaily Preview

The Seattle Supersonics return home from a 5-1 road trip with the best record in the NBA. The Nets arrive in Seattle with a 7 game losing streak and just 1/2 game ahead of New Orleans and Chicago for the worst record in the NBA. The two teams met last Wednesday in New Jersey, and the Nets held the Sonics to their worst offensive output of the season, but couldn't put enough baskets together down the stretch to keep up. Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis are a potent offensive combo, both in the top 20 of the league in scoring. The Nets need continued production from their bench, but also need more than they've been getting from their front line of Alonzo Mourning and Jason Collins.

Pretty terrible 1st quarter for the Nets. 2-13 shooting, 5 turnovers.

Krstic gets some 1st quarter PT, but air-balls a 12 footer at the buzzer. :\

2nd quarter wasn't much better than the first.

Only good thing about this game so far is Krstic getting a little experience.

New Jersey setting back basketball again?

8 points in the first quarter and 27 points at the half against the Sonics.

Kidd needs to hurry up and come back, so he can get traded for something that can help the Nets. This team is going into a gunfight with a spork.

Yeah, they need something. RJ is in the midst of a 2-12 shooting night and no one else on the team can score. Allen and Lewis are having off shooting nights and the Sonics are still leading by 20.

The Nets are nothing without Kidd. They never would have been anywhere the last few years without him. When he comes back the Nets will be a lot better.

Richard Jefferson is the only Net to get more than 17 points this season!

Here's the important thing you can take out of the game... Is Awill in Frank's doghouse? Did Krstic show improvement in practice? Is Train injured? Whatever the case, Krstic moved a spot up on the depth chart today.

Well, I don't think Train's playing time is the difference between 2-10 and 6-6, but I am a bit perplexed at his situation.
