Tor/NJ Trade Idea 1

Toronto Trades-- Jalen Rose(or Vince, but not both), Morris Peterson, Loren Woods, and Pape Sow(or Jerome Moiso),Milt Palacio

New Jersey Trades-- Jason Kidd, Alonzo Mourning, Aaron Williams, and Rodney Buford

New Jersey Starting 5--

PG--Jalen Rose/Zoran Planinic/Travis Best/Milt Palacio
SG--Morris Peterson/Eric Williams/Jalen Rose
SF--Richard Jefferson/Ron Mercer/Jalen Rose
PF--Jason Collins/Brian Scalabrine
C--Loren Woods/Jerome Moiso

Toronto Starting 5--
PG--Jason Kidd/Roger Mason Jr.
SG--Rafer Alston/Rodney Buford
SF--Vince Carter/Lamound Murray/Donyell Marshall
PF--Chris Bosh/Aaron Williams/Donyell Marshall
C--Alonzo Mourning/Matt Bonner

Toronto is running a run n gun type of style which is perfect for Jason Kidd, and then playing along side with Vince will make Vince's game much better.

Jalen Rose will give New Jersey a solid starting role which he can play either PG/SG/SF, also with this trade it makes New Jerseys bench much more effective and stronger which is really weak right now.

We want young, cheap talent, not overpriced, old talent.

Carter isn't that old... born in 1977, but he is overpriced and that would be the deterring factor. I don't know why Toronto would do this as well, makes no sense.

The Raptors may be forced to trade Carter, if so, I think it would be a great swap.

The only reason the Nets would want Milt is to hang him.

If we traded our All Star, it would be for your All Star. Vince would be a good addition. But we have RJ.

Still if we took Vince, then we'd have Vince, RJ & no point.

REJECT DEAL!!!

Thats why you take Jalen Rose who can play point. this will be ur lineup--

New Jersey Starting 5--

PG--Jalen Rose/Zoran Planinic/Travis Best/Milt Palacio
SG--Morris Peterson/Eric Williams/Jalen Rose
SF--Richard Jefferson/Ron Mercer/Jalen Rose
PF--Jason Collins/Brian Scalabrine
C--Loren Woods/Jerome Moiso
you will get a huge depth in bench

You don't trade a HOF PG for a stronger bench...

Does that make sense?

HOF PG???? Jason Kidd is a HOF PG BUT he doesn't want to be in New Jersey, so why not take people who won't wine and will actually play for you. You get a strong starting 5 and a deep bench. Right now with Kidd he is un happy their HE WANTS OUT!!!

I think you can get more then a stronger bench than a HOF PG (Kidd). I think Cap is more beneficial (Damon, Shreef) then Rose.

Why I said Carter was interesting it does help our shooting need, and Carter has more value then Rose if we were to want to trade either or.

Raptors would never do this trade.
They want to get young, and Kidd is not the way to do it. He's getting old, past his prime, and who knows the effects of those knee injuries.
Plus, Kidd's contract is awful, and the Raps need as much cap space as they can get so they can resign Chris Bosh to a long term contract.
On top of all that, the Raptors just spent 30 million dollars on Rafer Alston, obviously Kidd would be an upgrade over him, but is worth having two point guards that get paid that much?
