From the Bergen Record:

The Nets appear to be close to signing 6-foot-10 Jerome Moiso, who was waived recently by Toronto. The fifth-year center from UCLA has averaged 2.8 points and 2.9 rebounds with the Celtics, Hornets and Raptors. The Nets also are interested in Samuel Dalembert, Clifford Robinson and Robert "Tractor" Traylor.

Moiso could be a good backup, but we obviously need a legit starting PF anc C. Collins can be considered as a legit one (maybe in this era, but i think that a team who wants to have a good playoff run without Tim Duncan must replace him too), but scalabrine is a joke. Krstic has an extremely bright future and has the chance to thrives in the NBA and put up great numbers in a position where there are a few capavle off, but we still need more strenth at the front court.
I think we should take the risk and trade that first rounder we recieved from the K-Mart deal, because the Clippers will stiil have their current nucleus- Brand, Maggette, Wilcox and 2 potential stars: Kaman and Livingston. They will probobly resign Moore who finaly had been a good fit in the NBA. 2 other FA who thrives this season- Simmons and Jaric - could be resigned too and i think at least one of them will. They will also have a lot of cap space (they will spend only 28 M$ next season) and can sign a pretty good FA in addition to the players mentioned. they are currently ranked 17th in the NBA, which provides the mini lottery pick (with 1 ball). Rumors tell that they have a strong interest in Baron Davis. I believe the Clips will be protected this year though they want have a great pick. My prediction is that they wont have a lottery pick next season or maby a minor one (there is always a chance that they will get the 1st overall from the 14th place, but we cant rely on it).
BTW, im new here. I come from Europe (dont laugh at my English!) and u can call me Jay. Im a Nets fan for 3 years now.
Edit: For some reason it triple-posted it

TNX schub and Petey. I would like to recieve some comments before i will start writing my opinion about the FA market this summer. BTW, is there a thread about the reduction of the salary and about B. Ratner destroying our team?

JYD, Tractor Traylor and Cliff Robinson all sound compelling. Am not too sold on Moiso, maybe he will play better under Frank. He hasnt been too good the last 2 years

You are correct that is the exact reason given by Dunleavy to why he isn't playing much. It is a shame though he was showing such great promise in the beginning of the year.

I heard Marcus Haislip was waived by the pacers, he is a serviceable big man, with decent defense and offense

I thought the Pacers picked him up? Unless he got released from there too and I just missed it.

Ah, I should have seen that...I just read that he was released and thought it was from the Bucks, cause I had heard nothing abuot the Pacers letting him go...my bad.
He might be worth giving a shot over Moiso...I don't really know much about either player, but Haslip was a lottery pick (I bellieve) a few years ago.
