Nets sign Moiso.
Might as well sign Haislip too, if you can. It's not like you can't use some athletic frontcourt depth.
trade your smaller exception and the clipper pick for Marshall.
Suddenly you've got a frontcourt-
Collins
Nenad
Marshall
Moiso
Haislip
Scalabrine

Now, now, don't get all hissy because we weren't as receptive to picking up your garbage as you thought we would be.
Moiso costs millions of dollars less and brings a similar skillset to the table.

But its not as if he is going to cost anything, Moiso is coming of waivers, there's nothing to lose

What do you all think about Jahidi White?
He's currently on the Bobcats' IL with a strained right shoulder. He makes about 6 mil this season and is in the last season of his contract.

seems kind of pricey for Jahidi White, who I don't think would be enough of an impact on this team.
The Nets seem willing to spend some decent money on a big man, using a trade exception to do it, but they shouldn't be foolish about it.

There are probably a couple of teams looking his way. Same goes for Vitali Potapenko on the Sonics, who has an expiring contract about the same size as White's.
I've got a question for you guys: there are continuing rumours about New Jersey's interest in Donyell Marshall. Do you guys think there is any substance to the rumours?

It's possible. Since we already made a big deal, it's obvious we can negotiaite with each other. Though I'd love for Donyell to be on the Nets, I think we need to be pursuing Chris Wilcox very hard right now.

Nets need defense and rebounding, and Wilcox, despite his talent, has apparenltly not been getting minutes because of his defensive deficiencies. That scares me.
Question for Raps fans (and former Raps fans): Can Marshall be a banger? How about his defense? From afar, I obviously like his offensive skillset, but I don't see many Toronto games. Defense and rebounding are more of a priority right now.

I will say this about Marshall he has this knack for getting offensive boards and his quite good at shot blocking and he can shoot the lights out from the 3pt range, he is one of the most underrated PF's in the league

Former Raps fans, huh? Hmm.
He has long arms and surprises a lot of players with his ability to block a shot at the point of release. He gets a lot of rebounds, too, somehow (because he doesn't do the normal things to get them, such as boxing-out and fighting). He is good at fronting his man and also has a knack for poking the ball out of the hands of his man. Aside from that he is weak on the defensive end.

well, we had a couple of posters say "I'm a Nets fan now" after the trade.
Thanks for the input. Marshall is at the top of my list, but I'm not sure why the Raps would deal him for just a trade exception. I guess the Nets could include a pick, but it would be hard to give up a 1st rounder for a guy who could be gone in the summer.

I just read Stepania was waived by the blazers, you think he might be any use for the nets. I definitely think he is better than Moiso
