Nets/Sixers

Nets trade:
Ron Mercer
Clippers #1 pick
Nets #1 pick

Sixers trade:
Dalembert

I posted this on the Sixers board and many said they liked it, so I thought why not?

We get instant depth and an athletic defensive minded player who is exactly what we need.

Kidd/Best
Carter/Planinic
Jefferson/Planinic
Dalembert/Veal
Collins/Krstic

If the pieces fit, that is a CONTENDER..

I would not give up 2 #1's for Dalembert.

2 1st round picks is a lot to swallow for a guy who barely gets playing time on a bad time. I mean, we traded Kenyon for 3 draft picks, and he is by far the better player. Replace one of those picks with a second rounder, or maybe even planinic.

May be a lot, but Sixers wouldn't do the trade for less. They would not. Plain and simple. Thats the asking price for Daly.

I'm not sold on Dalembert at this point, not enough for 2 #1s, at least.

Marshall is my favorite of the names mentioned so far.

You don't make a trade using the standards the other team puts forth. You make trades to imporive your team. 2 #1's for Dalembert is a horrible trade for the Nets.

Marshall is mine as well.

I'd part with a 1st to get him.
