Game 34: Pistons @ Nets--01.11.05

Detroit Pistons (18-14) at New Jersey Nets (12-21)
Tuesday, 01.11.2005, 7:30 PM EST
Continental Airlines Arena - East Rutherford, NJ
TV: YES, WDWB/WB20, NBALP
NetsDaily Preview
The Nets return home Tuesday night to take on the Detroit Pistons at the Meadowlands. After a slow start, the Pistons have won 6 of their last 8 games, including an overtime victory over the Nets in Vince Carter's debut. Richard Hamilton scored 37 points in that game as the Pistons out-ran and out-rebounded the Nets at the Palace. Detroit has controlled the regular season series between these 2 teams, having won 13 of the last 17 meetings, including 6 of the last 8 in New Jersey. The Nets may be even more short-handed than they have been, with Jason Kidd questionable as he battles the flu.

I'll be at this game. I bought the $10 tickets, but with the way the Nets have been playing and the snow on the way, I have a feeling they're gonna allow everyone who came to go sit on the bottom level.

Could be. Is the snow supposed to be really bad?
Have fun. Hopefully, Kidd isn't too sick, and the bigs can stay out of foul trouble. Otherwise, this one could be ugly.

The Nets just need to play with energy and intensity for a full 48 minutes. They seem soooooooooooooooooooo lethargic at times its depressing. They need to be more vocal and excited...RJ needs to lead this charge.
DEAL WITH IT RJ

My prediction:
Nets 79
Pistons 87
I think it's gonna be a low scoring game, but I really hope Jason Kidd can step up for his second TD, he should dish out some nice assists to VC!

I agree, I am also looking forward to the game hoping that Jason Kidd continues to play good and hopefully recording his second straight tripple double and Vince Carter should now have a few high scoring games to get people's attention because of his scoring, not of his injuries or highlight dunks...He should try to play good and give the haters no chance to hate him!!!

Yes, the Nets' hopes for this season are totally finished, but in the long run they're better off because they probably weren't going to make the playoffs anyway, and with guys like Rodney Buford and Ron Mercer now having to play a lot of minutes they're guaranteed a high lottery pick.

Let me personally apologize to RJ for questioning his game since vince got here. With the injury my comments were Limp wristed to say the least.
If my ratings were up i would deserve a 1.
