Re: Marbury vs. Kidd

I don't know if we eliminated them from playoff contention, but we guaranteed them to have a losing season yet again.

Re: Marbury vs. Kidd

This was a game that kind of epitamized the kind of players Marbury and Kidd are. Kidd by no means lacks the ability to put up amazing stats, (although hes really not a scorer) but the measure his success comes from how he makes his the players around him (Carter specifically) and the his team the Nets better. Marbury by contrast has always had the ability to put up big numbers and look good from the surface, but has never been to lead his team to success. For Kidd his stats only strengthen his position as one of the premier guards over the past few years while for Marbury his stats are the only thing going for him.

Re: Marbury vs. Kidd

Marbury is no way near Kidd. He's actually not even top ten in my book. Maybe not even top 15. He should do less talking and more playing.

GO KIDD!!!

Re: Marbury vs. Kidd

Jason Kidd is a far better player then Marbury for many reasons.

Marbury is an amazing talent but he destroys teams. When he was Minnesota he decided he wouldn't share the spotlight with KG so he forced a trade to the Nets. The Nets began to get tired of Marburys ball hogging and they dealt him to the Suns for Kidd. With Kidd the Nets became a championship calibur team making it to the finals in 02 and 03. After the suns aquired Marbury there team started to struggle. The suns trade Marbury away and sign Nash and become one of the best teams in the league the next year. Marbury is now with the Knicks after being traded from Phoenix. The Knicks are struggling alot mainly because they lack any chemistry. It seems the only chance the Knicks have is to trade Marbury or find him a way to become a better teammate.

No matter how great Marbury's stats are or will ever be hes just not a great player.
