"We've always been a resilient group, but still it's not easy to swallow," Nets Coach Lawrence Frank said of the defeat, which ended a three-game winning streak and cost the Nets a chance to pull percentage points ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

What I can't understand is why would you shot a 3, and have Kidd shot it.
And missing an open Krstic on the previous look hurt.
That one will sting for a while.

Re: Nets Fall A Point Short Of Going A Step Up
We need to forget about this game and get our heads in the right place if we a chance to catch up in the playoff race. I don't think this loss really hurts us. Here's my view... If we do manage to catch up and get in the playoffs, it will mean that we would have to play really hot and once the playoffs starts, we'd be a hot team that no one would want to face. If we don't make it, we move ahead in the lottery a little bit.
I really hope we can make the playoffs, but if we don't I won't be terribly heartbroken.
You guys think the Nets regret giving us all those tickets against Philly? That game could determine who gets in the playoffs. That could be a packed arena.

No... are you crazy?
In fact, I'm sure they are giddy... 35+ fans who will be loud and root for the Nets!
And a large pass of potential return customers?
They didn't pick who to give free tickets to without knowing the demographics of the group.

In that case... are they doing anything else for us? I don't mean to sound greedy but I remember when the Portland fans went to a free game. The Blazers had them meet up with announcers, some players, and they got free gifts.
