Why are

the Cavs and Sixers doing so well now?

We just need them to lose a couple of games and they won't!

I was cringing during the whold Cavs Magic game yesterday. How could the Magic beat us in here in NJ but lose at home to the Cavs with no Big Z?

And how the heck did the Sixers beat the Wiz IN Washington, with NO AI and NO CWebb? And the Wiz were at full strength!

I just don't get it. Everything is stacked against us.

Re: Why are

The Wizards have fallen apart since Brian Haywood got injured. It is interesting; like us, the Wizards are a perimeter-oriented team; their strengths are at the guards and SF spots. I think the same would happen to us if Krstic went down for a spell. Still, as I've been saying, the Sixers have a very tough stretch over the next five games. they could easily go 0-5 during that week. If they go 3-2 then they DESERVE to go to the playoffs and we should tip their hats to them.

I don't know what to think about Cleveland.

The same did when Krstic missed the two games after the all-star break.

I think you answered your own questions regarding Philly, yea, because Webber is gone, he's not a block to their free wheeling 3 point shooting offense. With Webber, everything stalls and it's easier to defend, with as many as 4 shooters on the floor, everyone needs to be covered. Losing AI hurts at end of games when you need one shot, but other than that. He also is a vacuum for the offense sucking all the movement, passsing and motion. Maybe the same goes for the CAvs, with an injured Z taking a seat, he's not just a decoy anymore, Z had been playing with a hand injury for a while, now that the bone seperated from the ligament he has taken a seat. The offense is not dying on injured stars...that is why both squads have picked it up. AI supposedly is missing the Miami game thursday too...Shaq is supposed to make his return then. Boston - Philly tonight.

Re: Why are

i saw the orlando-cleveland game last night. the magic had their number early and knew how to break down their defense. but then it seemed they forgot what to do. man, it was frustrating. with about 10 minutes left, the magic looked like they packed it in, but they were only down 10 at that point. they gave it away with bad outlet passes.

i agree, philly has a brutal sched coming up, and it can only help us. so, all is not lost. if philly comes out on top by the 20th, they deserve to be in the playoffs cuz this is where do-or-die begins with them (tonight vs boston). wonder why it´s only on espn2, not even league pass.

Re: Why are

SIXERS:
BOS = ?
MIA = ?
@ IND = loss
@ NJ = loss
MIL = win
ATL = win

Therefore, there are 2 guaranteed wins. Assuming they lose their road games, they still have the advantage for the Boston and Miami games since they are in Philly. I figure they win one of these. I think the Sixers have a pretty easy schedule, actually. Only @IND is tough.

If Sixer = 4 and 2, Nets need 5-0
If Sixer = 3 and 3, Nets need 4-1
If Sixer = 2 and 4, Nets need 3-2

CAVS:
NY = win
@ WAS = ?
@ DET = loss
BOS = ?
@ TOR = win

I think the Cavs are guaranteed 2 wins and one loss. The other games could go either way. I figure they will get one of them. The Cavs schedule is not that bad either...only @DET is tough.

If Cavs = 3 and 2, Nets need 5-0
If Cavs = 2 and 3, Nets need 4-1

Re: Why are

Like the Nets they have big players AI, and James, stepping up. This is the time that proves what players are made of.
