Re: It's June 1st - Who's your pick?
I'm not sure. At first I was totally against Jack, but after reading up on him, I think he would be a good pick for our bench.
I also wanted Ike and May, but I'm starting to lean towards Petro because of his height and speed. He has the potential to be a Dalembert type player, and I think playing alongside Kidd can speed up the process.
So I'm going to say that Petro is my first choice, though I'd be happy with May, Jack and Granger.
I still do NOT want Taft and CV.

Re: It's June 1st - Who's your pick?
I would love to see us trade down and get the Rebounding tough 6'10 dont give an inch in the post Ronny Turiaf. He seems to be exactly what the nets need. In one word i'd describe him as an enforcer. I think he could almost immediatly start for us aswell. I think we could trade down pretty easily aswell because of the depth in this draft and get a high second round pick (then get salim). Or a good quality backup. Turiaf i think can be the defensive player of the year in his career averaging somewhere around the lines of 9 ppg 11 rpg 2 bpg and locking down there best player. He would make the Tim Duncans of the game work on the offensive end and be getting offensive rebounds and tipping in kidd/carter/rj's missed shots making there bigs have to worry about boxing out every time.
If we do not trade down and Chris Taft is avalaible i think u have to draft him. He's 6'10, an incredible athelete, and is Jacked. I think the reason he did not do as well in Pitt is because he lacks maturity and can't yet handle being the #1 scoring option. But as a Net we would use him as a 5th option. He's very atheletic can do wonders in the break, and i dont see Kidd letting Taft letting his potenital go to waste. He may not be a starter by the begining of the season but by the midway point i can see him being a 12/9 1.5 bpg type of guy.

Re: It's June 1st - Who's your pick?
That 7ft rookie from NJ who might go to 15! I don't know his name but he's a highschooler and i think he'll do good for the nets! Our big 4 is good enough for the offence and all we need now is a tough vet big who's also athletic and a good defender!
We will have time to develop him into something and maybe even get him to start like how we got krstic to start!

I like what you said about both guys. I don't understand the lack of love for Turiaf, I just assumed it was me not knowing college ball. Or his lackluster NCAA tourney play.
Taft is young, immature, and just the one of the most physically gifted athletes in the draft. Problem is he reminds everyone of Kwame. Could Kidd ride him into being a great player yes, will he be able too I don't know. He played so hot and cold at Pitt.
