Two trades to consider...
1) If a guy Thorn loves is going between #12 and #15...trade Clips pick and ours for #12 and #32 (Lee?, Katelynas?, Hodge?)
2) Clips pick for low Utah first rounder and top second rounder (two of the guys above)

I would go with option 2 if Splitter has contract issues. He would most likely drop to #15 where I would take him. Wait the year or two. Then later in the 1st with the Utah pick grab Diogu or Simien.
However, Utah has a lot of holes to fill and I doubt they will dump picks.

Re: Two trades to consider...
Why would the Clippers trade two picks this year for their own pick back next year?

We send them #15.
So we move up 3 slots and get early second round pick. Probably not enough from Nets perspective.

Re: Two trades to consider...
I don't think it's worth moving up 3 spots and only acquiring a 2nd round pick, which could lead to sticky contract issues down the line for a pick.

I would trade the Nets 2006 Pick AND the Clippers 2006 Pick for a top 10 pick this year..would that package be enough to get a team to give up its pick this year?

I don't like either deal, run. Not getting enough back for that Clips pick. I know next year's draft probably won't be as strong, but that could be a very high pick.

Nets 2006 first round pick (with lottery protection) for the #27 from Utah if there is someone available at #27 that the Nets like (Simien, Lee?).

Jazz already have 10 guaranteed contracts, figure to try to hang on to free agents Raja Bell and Keith Macleod, and 5 draft picks (#6, #27, and 3 second round picks). That's 16, maybe 17 players in camp- without using the MLE. They might be able to use a pick or two on not-ready-for-prime-time Euros, but most teams don't want to commit to 14 guaranteed contracts.
I'll be surprised if they keep all their trades.

Re: Two trades to consider...
trade zoron to spurs for first rounder! Spurs love international players like zoron, Krstic (who they tried to draft), ginobli, rasho, parker, dunken, ugero (can't spell)
