Suns to take a look at Diogu
Link
Quote:
A decision should come within the next week to 10 days on Ike Diogu's future. The Sun Devils star has worked out for Denver, Memphis and Golden State and will work out for the Suns.
He also will go to Chicago for the pre-draft camp but is not expected to play in the games. He will just get measured and go through the meetings. Because the games are guard dominated it may not make sense for a big man like Ike to play.
Early indications are the Suns like Louisville's Francisco Garcia, Providence's Ryan Gomes and Florida's David Lee among the players that have worked out for them. Garcia would seem to be the best fit at pick number 21 .

Re: Suns to take a look at Diogu
Grizz don't think he will be there at 19. They want to trade up into the 9-13 range to get him. Things heard from the Grizz...most skilled, toughest, hardest worker, best shooting big man, beast...but was still surprised that his Memphis workout was publicized.

Apparently would be gone at the Nets pick then too.
But if he likes the Suns he can in part control his own Destiny by getting a promise then he would stop working out for other teams.

yeah but other teams can still draft him. then again would you want a guy who already has an ego where he wants to go to a certain team and he may come into camp with some attitude problems. hopefully he wont already try and pull a jimmy jackson and mourning. yes those are different situations but you get my point. just hope hes around at 15. even if a team doesnt need his position to be filled, you'd think they would take the best player available and he would be picked before 15 if teams thought that imo.
bring on the freakin draft!!!!!!!!!!

Amare only worked out for certain teams, and look at him now. One team he avoided working out for was the Knicks as they (him and his agent) thought it was a bad situation for him. It's understandable, who would want to be a Knick right now?
Anyway, I'd take Amare, and so would 95% of fans of the NBA?

K, but my point is I don't think this is a reason to think players would cause issues.
Might down the line when they became FAs thou.
Diogu would be a sweet pick.
I just fear that he'll go the path of Luke Jackson, someone that was supposed to be there for our pick, but went 12 spots earlier? LOL
