as far as the all-star game goes, a lot obviously depends on injuries--just like RJ lost his slot this year, he could slip in if someone like LeBron or Wade gets injured. The thing is, though, RJ would say that he doesn't care--he is more interested in winning. And, for all his alleged faults, Vince WAS the guy who gave up his starting slot in an all-star game to Michael Jordan a few years ago . . . so he's not as egotistical as the national press seems to think (as we all now know).

You need to review the details of that event. There was a tremendous amount of peer pressure on Vince to give up his spot after he refused to do that.

RJ will have more energy to spend of defense than he did last year when Kidd was gone and we didn't have Carter. He also had alot of time to work of his footwork when his hand was injured.
