Old Article i found

I found this old article basically saying how the nets had the wrong end of the deal between Kidd and Marbury trade, he also says Eddie Griffen was worth more than RJ, Armstron and Collins combined. Made me laugh and realize most of those high paid writters dont know ****.

I did not like the trade the Nets made on draft day, dealing Eddie Griffin to Houston for three players. Griffin was a local kid with a little baggage from his one year at Seton Hall, but hey, he's just a kid. It seemed like his troubles were easily explained and were ones he could address. Now Richard Jefferson has a chance to be a decent player. But Jason Collins can't play in the NBA. Brandon Armstrong from Pepperdine showed an ability to score, but he's a question mark. Griffin, however, will play right away and make a positive impact. He is worth more than the three other guys. And the Nets were apparently not interested in that? Just not a good trade.

Heh, I was actually against both trades too. Foolish me, and no, I didn't write that article... but that's also why Thorn is the GM, not me.

Re: Old Article i found

It just goes to show ya...punditry in the hours after a draft or a trade is almost always wrong. The hype is too often based on conventional wisdom.

Chad Ford's classic: giving the Pistons and A+ in the 2003 draft for taking Darko Milicic at #2, Carlos Delfino at #25 and Andreas Glyniadakis at #58.

Milicic was taken over Anthony, Wade and Bost and has done nothing. Delfino has publicly taken shots at Brown, most recently for leaving him off the playoff roster and Glyniadakis can't even average 5 ppg for his Greek League team. Right now, if you were grading that draft, Detroit would get an F.

Wade would be good anywhere, Darko doesnt get any minutes to play because he doesnt deserve it, i always thought that Tamar Slay would be good if he was given the minutes, and he was given the minutes in Charlotte and he sucked, Gerald Wallace too, people thought if he was in another roster he would be good if he was given the minutes and look he busted wasnt that good either even though he was the 2nd scoring option. If your good coaches will play you, thats why Darko hasnt played.

^R u sure about that, Gerald Wallace is a pretty good player on the bobcats, he sure doesnt get as injured as he used to with the kings

Pretty sure, plays around 30mins and averges 11ppg even though he is the 2nd scoring option on that team. I drafted him in my fantasy because everyone told me he was gonna be a monster on that team cause no one in that team was good, and he really dissapointed me, or maybe the bobcats are better than expected idk, but 11ppg in 30mins as a scoring option is not good. Collins averages around 5-6ppg and hes not even our 5-6th scoring option.
