People do complain when the team loses. Do you honestly beleive that if Kobe had played a more traditional game the Lakers would had been able to overcome a 19 point deficit in the 3rd quarter to the Raptors on their home court?

And what exactly is a traditional game and I probably sound like am bashing Kobe's performance yesterday, but the 81 point performance was truly unbelievable. What just bothers me is his surrounding cast and how they are taking this

If Kobe had only scored 35-45 points because he was focused on getting his teammates last night, do you think the Lakers would had won or lost, and by how much?
Should had used the term like consistent to his recent performances as he's averaging over 40+ since his game w/ the Mavs.
Sorry.

Re: Let's Let Carter take 46 Shots
I wonder how the supporting cast of the Lakers feel about being called jokes and scrubs all the time by ESPN, the TNT panel and everywhere else. Kobe is just a big ball hog so those guys don't really get a chance to show their worth. It's the Kobe show, not the Lakers. They should change their team name to the L.A. Kobes.

Re: Let's Let Carter take 46 Shots
This was currently on ESPN.com, this story is never going to get old until next season so I am just going to accept it, it was an amazing performance. Kobe is putting as many points on the scoreboard that is needed for his team to win. And if he is shooting at over 45% then why not let him go on a shooting spree.

Well I guess if he his shooting at a decent clip there is nothing wrong with it. But also remember during the Sacramento game which was also during this stretch of 'great' play he shot 12-33. Its the Kobe show and I am curious as to how far it will take them.

Is just an big "if" But maybe if he involve one of his teamates maybe just maybe somebody else would have the chance to step up, But was the same history Smush bring the ball to the offensive end, pass to Kobe and the rest of the lakers get da hell of here. The same thing happen in their game againts the Kings wich they lose. And in someway is not Kobe's fault cause if the defense let u do that then go for it. And I still think that a hard foul or two on him would make the history a little diferent, It could be anyone Bosh Even Bonner or Araujo just send Kobe to the ground let him know if hes going to the rim he must pay the price. Awesome game tho...

i don't care what his teammates think. the lakers are better when kobe shoots a lot and that's all that should matter. team wins. they should be role players around him and accept it until the lakers bring in more talent.

Not entirely his fault...during that game, Odom was off and inconsistent, Parker wasn't effective...once those guys are gone, your done to the bare minimum...
the key here is Odom...if he wasn't such a inconsistent player, I bet Kobe wouldn't be hoisting up the shots he does. Give the Lakers someone who can get 20 a night and Kobe will definitely pass the ball to that person...hell, give him CAPABLE shooters (Cook maybe the only one right now)...and they'll get the ball

Re: Let's Let Carter take 46 Shots
This thread is completely disgusting.
Kobe scored 55 points in the second half of the game to bring his team back from a double digit deficit. Yes he took the game over, but what great player doesn't take a game over now and then? The great ones have the ability to impose their will on the game in many ways. In this case, Kobe did what his team needed and that was score and score some more.
I need to amend one of my statements from earlier in the season. I said there is LeBron and then there is the rest of the NBA. Kobe has proved me wrong. There is LeBron and Kobe and then the rest of the NBA.
Pardon me for interupting the Kobe hate

The Sacremento game Kobe shot 17-35, 15-28 before OT. The Suns game was the one where he shot 12-33.
