Man, the Jazz are freaking ferocious
when they put their minds to it. That is one sock you in the mouth team. Its too bad the Nets caught them the game after Lebron dropped 51 against them. Jerry was all over them for sure. And they came out fighting. Nets had alot of trouble getting anything going in the paint. Other than RJ, the paint was essentially off limits for the Nets. Took our bigs right out of the game (which isn't that hard). W/ no bigs, and Vince not involved/injured, it was a tough road for the Nets.
That Jazz team, though, it doesn't matter who they've got on the floor. They play their game offensively and defensively. On offense, they share that ball and move, move, move. Great teamwork on almost every possession. And defensively, you just don't get shots in the paint, or many open jumpers. Goes to show the value of working together. Even if you don't have a go to guy, you can get good shots on every possession if you move the ball and work together. Sloan is one hell of a coach.

Re: Man, the Jazz are freaking ferocious
The Jazz are a team of "streaks". They can have periods where they play up to their standards, and then drop 2-3 games in a row(at home/road doesn't matter). CONSISTENCY is the word you'll hear pretty much after every game. Sometimes our bigs show up and our backcourt is non-existent, and vice-cersa.
I still think we made a huge mistake in not drafting Chris Paul. He's making the Hornets into a 500. team and with the Jazz talent if Sloan had let him loose we could be a 6th seed in the much stronger West.

What could have been.

I was totaly on the Deron over Paul train during the draft. I was totally wrong. Deron will still be a very good player for you guys, but Paul would have you sitting comfortably in 1st place, and talking about 10 years of deep playoff runs.

David West has busted out this year too.
He's making a solid contribution to the cause.
Though I hate Scott.

Was David West another of the players the Nets could have chosen if they hadn't sold their draft pick? Watching those guys contribute makes me a little sick.

Don't Forget that they dealt the Pistons 1 of their 5 losses so far earlier this season. They r pretty good and really stick it to teams. They don't even have Booz yet.

Re: Man, the Jazz are freaking ferocious
We actually beat the Pistons not once but TWICE(at home/road)

No, I think you are thinking of Delonte West. Was pretty impressed with him when we played the Celtics. As a guard, his FG% is higher than RJ's.
Link to ESPN's profile of Delonte West.
11.2 PPG on 8.5 shots a game, .522 overall, .433 from behind the arch.
Davis/Pierce/West... wicked trio.
David West was out of Zoran's draft class, though picked 4 spots before Zoran went.
Though Josh Howard was on the board when the Nets snatched up Z.
Really, it's all moot. If Thorn had drafted better, the Raptors would had demanded those players in return for Carter (instead of that horrid package we sent them).

No. He is one of the best in history. A simple system coach which I admire.

Re: Man, the Jazz are freaking ferocious
wow it's great to see that other ppl see sloan is a great coach outside of utah. But on the paul topic he wouldn't be good for utah we dont want a shoot first guard thats not are style. D-will is much more our style he distributess the ball and sloan is like a larry brown with rookies doesn't play them that much so paul would've complained.
