just wondering..why wouldn't the Raptors have turned down ROse and a 1st for Penny? I could understand Rose for Penny, but including a 1st??

The Raptors have 2 more picks in the upcoming draft.

Counting up all the players they have on rookie deals, or cheaper contracts:

Bosh
Charlie Villanueva
Rafael Araujo
Joey Graham
Pape Sow
Jose Calderon

Adding 2 more players, and where does the time come from to help develop these players?

If they can get rid of Rose for an expiring, depending on where their untraded pick lands, what the cap could be set at, the Raptors could have anywhere from 9M to 7M to spend on a FA. Granted not a great FA class, but being able to give a player more than the MLE might entice some guys who only have MLE offers elsewhere or from their own team?

after seeing him and big mouth Kendra making fun of Carter during a Chicago@Raptors game a couple of years ago...

Davis hit Carter very hard.... Carter looked hurt... Kendra, who was sitting behind the Chicago bench, and her husband looked at each other laughing and mocking Vince....
kind of like "oh, poor baby! he's so delicate!" .....

Maybe I'm too sensitive, but I was really annoyed by their childish reaction, especially after all the years Davis and Carter played together.

I don't know if VC knows about that, but I'm pretty sure the couple like to badmouth him

Fat chance. I'd like Davis for the vet min on our team too, but if he truly is released he'd probably sign with San Antonio or Detroit.

Or maybe I'm just being really pessimistic?

Or Vince has good repore with Davis and can put a call in?
