wat do u guys think about the offensive sets and how the trio works together on offense?


to me, our offense is not as good as i want it to be, our players take too many jumpers and do not drive inside a lot.
stats might say a different story(i heard the nets get to the foul line a lot) but when i see games i see mostly fade away jumpers and some shots that should never been attempted.
examples= vc taking a fadeaway jumpshot in the paint instead of a layup or dunk.collins taking a long jumper,krstic sometimes doesnt finish strong enuff.

we don't run plays we possesions at a time without givin vc the ball

We have only two players in the rotation capable of finishing at the hoop, RJ, and VC. So we've got to take jumpers, and for the Nets to win those jumpers have got to fall. For the most part we simply can't get easy buckets at the hoop in the half court. So, if we aren't running, we're not getting easy buckets.

exactly, but we cant win consistently by taking jumpers.sure vc and rj can drive, the problem is that sometimes they dont.when vc does drive inside, 75% of the shots he takes inside r jumpers.and frank has to hav a back up plan on offense when the shots r not falling.he also needs a plan if vc goes cold.our offense is basically vc, and when he struggles, we dont do too well...

Actually, as long as VC is aggressive, I don't think it matters so much whether he's having an on or off night. Now, its better of course when he's on, but if he's off and still attacking, he draws so much attention that it opens up shots for other players. The second part, though, is that guys have to hit jumpers. I don't think the problem is that Frank doesn't have a back up plan, its that we don't have the players to execute a plan other than... 'make your jumpers.'

i guess there has been a big chain reaction ever since RJ and VC got injured.... they were reallyl aggressive and they carried this team towards their winning streak... and they brought excitement into the game..... we had all the confidence in the world and were finally recognized as a elite team ... gosh we were at the top....until RJ got injured in Toronto because of back spasams and VC got injured in Utah becuz of his back..

Its now a tough road for the Nets... sooo my question is Lawerence Frank what are you going to do now? How are you going to conquer this problem? This has been destorying our reputation and its making us one of the NBA's most disappointing teams......
