The fact that something drastic needs to happen. Would you get equal value for Kidd or Carter? No. Will Kidd be around forever to help you win a title? No. His production will continue to drop as his age goes up. You are not a contender right now, and if the thought is that you may be 2 years down the road, what type of player do you think Kidd will be by that point in time?

Problem is, at least 25 other teams are in the same boat as us and won't want to take on Kidd and/or Carter either. The other 5 teams that are contenders won't want to make a move because they are contenders now. Face it, were stuck with a non-contending team for the forseable future all because of those two cap draining scrubs.  |

Here is what we need to do to get title contemption......
1. Get Wilcox over here. I'm tired of hearing all of these rumors about him. Lets just get it done. Develop him into the player he should have been when he entered the league.
2. Draft a pg and pf in the draft. My choice at pf is Taj Gray. Don't really care about the point, as long as he can make the team run.
3. Go ahead and bring over Ilic. We've all been hearing great things about him.
4. Get Wright to at least 5-7 points per game so he has some encouragement for next season and LJ to some where near 5 boards.
The roster will look something like this.
Kidd, pick, Vaughn
Carter,Wright
Jefferson, Johnson
Wilcox, Gray, Robinson/Padgett
Krstic, Collins, Illic
Same lineup with the exception of Wilcox and a young, energetic bench that will look to push the ball. Sounds like a championship to me. What do you think?
