I guess somebody thinks Train (on 34 year old bad knees) can do more than collect splinters.

Re: OT: Hornets acquire Aaron Williams
Sorry to see him traded, but it's nice to know he's with Scott again. That'll be nice for both of them. Hopefully he'll be able to contribute more than he did in Toronto.

Byron Scott is the NBA Coach of the Year. He has taken a beat-up, rundown team playing 500 miles from its home base can put it in contention for the playoffs by trusting the team to a rookie and giving a chance to a kid everyone thought a bust.

Why would Toronto play Aaron Williams on a consistant basis? They are building for the future, so giving Aaron Williams playing time would do nothing to achieve that goal.
Great deal getting 2 second rounders for a guy who didn't have a spot on the team.

Hornets acquire A-Train!
NOK has acquired former Net Aaron Williams from Toronto in exchange for 2 future 2nd round draft picks.

Re: Hornets acquire A-Train!
Haha... in the end this could cost the Nets. If Aaron Williams gets 2 2nd rounders, what is Wilcox or Evans going to get?

Re: OT: Hornets acquire A-Train! [MERGED]
Forget Wilcox what is EWil going to cost us haha. Both got sat down and left behind on the Toronto bench. I thought A-Train was done last year, we will see if he has anything left. I think 2 2nd rounders is a ton to give up. We had to pay Clippers and only got one 1st rounder back for Kittles. Turned out that was too much, but we only had to pay 1 to get Uncle Cliffy. A-Train was just gathering dust on the tracks and getting paid.

Right! This really shows what the market is for big men. A guy who's barely played in 2 seasons is worth 2 second round picks? I love A-Train and what he did for the Nets, but that's nuts. He didn't play much for the Nets last season before he was traded. One 2nd rounder should have done that. This also shows how useless those CBA/NBDL big bodies are if someone does this.

In his first game as a Hornet he had 8 points, 5 boards and 2 blocks in a win. Looks like he'll fit in just nicely.

Perhaps all the time off allowed Train to actually heal up. The Train that last played for the Nets looked like he was washed up. Perhaps he was still in too much pain.

Could be... I mean, he is 2 years younger than his teammate PJ.
But the last Train sighting in a Nets jersey wasn't pretty.

I predicted at the beginning of the season that the Hornets would make the playoffs [half jokingly]. With the addition of A-Train and Steven Hunter, I think that prediction is going to come true.

Except at the PG position, this Hornets team is possibly better than the Nets team that Scott took to the finals. However, that difference in the PG position is huge.
