So you are saying that in the Finals years, on a break, Kidd couldn't finish on a break?
I remember Kidd taking it one on two, one on three, creating his own break, initiating contact, and making with consistancy. Kidd can no longer do that.

My opinion is independent of this board.
Like I said I love JKidd, but to say that he is the same player that he was doing the Finals years does a great disservice to how good he was back then.

I agree.
In the Finals years Kidd showed his ability to take over games and score at will when his team needed it. He still can do that, although he does it less. On that first Finals team he had to: Van Horn and Kittles were not good crunch time players, and Martin and Jefferson were still too raw offensively. On the current team, Carter and Jefferson can carry most of the scoring load in crunch time, so the Nets are less dependent on Kidd's scoring.

You're remembering highlight plays. Kidd can still make those highlight plays. But, even in those Finals years (and I watched virtually every single game), he missed a lot of wide open layups.
