jizzy... but its how you defend collins. You make him seem that he has no flaws! Also your thread about how we should have krstic comming off the bench dosn't help prove 7M3 wrong!

I know he has flaws and isn't perfect but some of you guys blame it all on him. Truth is he isn't even supposed to be playing right now but he is. Some og you guys act like you wanna kill the guy. I want Collins off the bench to but until then just deal with it because Thorn screwed up the off season. I realize what Collins brings to this team. A lot of you are caught up in the stats when he has never been a stats guy. He does so much unrecognized stuff for just being on the court. Also, after players sign contracts they ususlly take games off and just relax while Collins plays on one leg and doesn't ever complain. Maybe it's just me. I want players who don't complain, give 120% every game, do what there supposed to do, bring it every game and play hard for every game as if it was there last.

Re: Twin fan club...
Collins Fun Fact: Zach Randolph scored 9 points and had 2 boards against Collins. In the three games since then, he has averaged 28.3 ppg and 6.6 rpg. He probably had an off day like Shaq did when he went up against Collins.

No, but I can live with him for this season and I'm sure we're gonna get a pf if not by the trading deadline, by next season.

That does not matter. He is the starting center/power forward now. He is playing great defense. Also next time you are at a game, isolate on Collins. A lot of the picks Carter uses to get free are set by Collins. He has a solid offensive game. He just doesn't score very much. There is a difference.
In three years, Ilic may become a starter or the Nets may get someone else in the draft or Collins injuries may become worse. Eighteen months ago, I expected KMart would be the Nets starting PF and didnt expect Vince Carter to become a Net.

Jumping johosopeht, I agree with netincome. I think Collins has more then a decent offensive game but his jobs in the past off season have been to work on his defense. I actually think Collins had a decent offensive game

Re: Twin fan club...
Every thread about Twin ends up like this. He is who he is, he gives his 120% on the court, plays D, and is a great team player, and accept it or not, he is going to be the starting PF until Thorn gets someone like KG to fill the 4 spot.
Stefanski, Thorn , Frank have repeated praised Collins in the press. Now, a lot of people say, "oh well, they're going to praise Nets team members", but then why doesn' t the Nets brass say that RJ is an all-NBA defender? Why only Twin?
Anyway, appreciate what Twin brings, or respectfully disagree with those who do. What's so difficult about it?

Re: Twin fan club...
i respect wat he brings to the table but if he stays as our starter for yrs to come, we will never go really far in the postseason.we need a big that can be shot blocker/low post intimidator.collins doesnt scare anyone from goin into the paint.to me, hes just a guy that gives all his effort and is more suited to be a bench player career-wise. if we can get a big that we need w/o givin up collins, we would do pretty welll big man wise.he would be comin off the bench.

well neither jizzy or income have answered my question.... and our chances to win the ring with our current big rotation (everyone except krstic) are low!

Re: Twin fan club...
I'm record as being a big Twin supporter, and that won't change, even though his effectiveness is down this season due to his injuries. I still believe that he had a lingering, unrevealed injury over the final third of last year, which also hurt his production. Anyway, not that it matters, but I also believe that Krstic should come off the bench--just not for Cliff. If the Nets acquire a PF, I'd prefer to move Collins to center, and have Kstic back him up (but still get 25-30 minutes a night). I'd also still love to see the Nets trot out Cliff as a SF, along with Collins and Krstic (or some other PF/C). I suspect that would be a combination that could really excel.
