What's in Kidd's head?
When Jason Kidd was a free agent and decided to stay with the Nets, do you think if he could do that over, would he have gone with San Antonio instead today. Knowing how everything turned out to be. The pathetic roster last year, to aquiring VC, to RJ having to miss the whole season last year to the SAR drama and now to this season. If he could do it all again, would he go with San Antonio?

Re: What's in Kidd's head?
Ever since Kidd came here and changed the nets into a winning franchise, I wanted him to always stay, retire his number here, win a championship, and be forever engraved into the nets history. However, I believe if he had the premonition that things were going to turn out so ho-hum he would have taken the job in San Antonio in a heartbeat. I mean he is a respectable guy and you can tell that he cares for the nets, but come on he deserves better than this mediocrity, and he has to be thinking that now.

Re: What's in Kidd's head?
if kidd knew kenyon was a goner, he would 100% have gone to SA even if he knew we would get vince down the road, imo. we all know the relationship kidd and kenyon had and we saw how upset he was that kenyon was gone, along with our ECchampionship role players, so it only makes sense that he would go to duncan if he knew kenyon was gone. after kenyon got traded and our team went down the ****ter, i think it would have been fine if kidd asked for a trade eventhough i wanted him to retire as a net. now he will and we have a team with some additional players can get back to the finals and even win it. i think kidd is happy here, hes just not happy with our current play and team. he gives it his all every night yet others dont, so i would be unhappy. hopefully rod can get the big, shooters and we can get this ship in the right direction and get back to the top so we can win a title for ourselves and for kidd.

Re: What's in Kidd's head?
I mean he was expecting to have an amazing lineup that would probably take the east a bit easier than he could take the west with San Antonio.
Kidd
Kittles
RJ
Kenyon
Zo
Guys like Collins and A-Train would be backups where they belong. We had a strong team on paper, but we couldn't get it all together. We were pretty much automatic to go to the Finals from the east.
But if Kidd knew that this franchise would face some kinda problem every year, he woulda gone to San Antonio. The situation presented itself to be just as good, if not a little better, with the team he resurrected. He'd already established himself in Jersey, Joumana likes it here, and I bet that factored into it.
San Antonio did have an advantage money wise because we could offer the same about but the state tax in Texas is a bit different from ours here in Jersey, but I think Kidd ultimately decided if the situation isn't any different he can stay where he's already comfortable.

"one thing he has is loyalty"?
We're still talking about Jason Kidd?

Yeah, on paper back then, that team looked monstrous. and instead of one big, kidd would have had two bigs.
