Re: RJ Being Shopped?
This thread shows the dangers of relying on Hoopshype. Try InsideHoops update. Didnt mention the RJ story but did mention Denver Post saying the Nets are interested in Farmar at #22.

hoopshype just provided a link for the Mewark Star Ledger article, and hoopshype provided a link to the Denver Post's story on Farmar & the Nets.
So if insidehoops didn't mention the Star Ledger story, wouldn't insidehoops be the site that was lacking.

No, because Hoopshype led its site with the RJ rumor which was obviously used as a "straw man" by D'Alessandro. Hoopshype either didnt understand that or deliberately hyped it...aka was dishonest.
It's all in the EDITING.

cliffy did that? that kind of cancels out doubt about his commitment to the team regarding that other thing, then.

All hoopshype did was provide a link to the article, they didn't comment on it.
Is there some reason you don't want people to read the article? Have you an agenda?

Re: RJ Being Shopped?
Unlike some other posters I have no agenda here. Im not a Vince lover or Thorn groupie or looking for attention. I gave you guys the link to read and the quote came straight from the article. I wasn't posting this as my own opinion, but from something I read online.

Re: RJ Being Shopped?
My proposal:
RJ/Jackson/filler for Martin/first rounder/cash
filler could be sign n trade.

"We talk to everybody," Nets GM Ed Stefanski said. "And they always bring up his name, I don't. Everyone likes Richard, for obvious reasons."
You can mark that down as a denial. The Nets aren't shopping Richard Jefferson. And along with that, Stefanski reiterated that it would take some colossal, unforeseen circumstance for his team to break up the core.
|
no offense, but if Stefanski was really shopping RJ, do you think he would publicly say he so?
Kinda like Jermain O'Neal and Indiana, they also came out saying that they have no intention on trading him, while many agree that he is probably available if the right deal came along... ie/Villaneuva and the number 1.
however, just to be clear, I doubt that RJ is on the block, but the team will at field offers no doubt.

1. Who is "Jackson"? The announcer?
2. Who is "Martin"? KENYON Martin??!!
You want the Nets to trade RJ for Kenyon Martin?
Wow. Um. That's a bad idea.
