Chris Webber wouldn't make the Nets much better than they are now. He's far, far, far from his former self. He wouldn't make the Nets contenders. He wouldn't even guarantee that they win the Atlantic. He's pretty bad, and definately not someone who fits with the Nets. He's far too slow, and not built to play with someone like Kidd.

Re: Barkley sees Nets as a nice fit for Webber! And my notes from webber's interview!

All he needs to do is play with presence in the post. Dish around the rim to Moore/Hassan, kick it out to the perimeter, rebound, shoot a 3?
We don't need all that much from him, no dribble drives to the cup, no coast to coast... As far as his skillsets, he's like having 2 of our lesser guys in 1.
I'm telling you, a center on the Nets is going to have alot of looks. Weber, if he plays center, could be a pivotal addition to this team.

I don't know why you had to drag Kidd into this, but he can play with anyone. We don't really have all our eggs in the fast break basket, so--wait a second, that's pretty good..I gotta quote myself here: "We don't really have all our eggs in the fast break basket" and the guys on this team would wecome into the fold.

Re: Barkley sees Nets as a nice fit for Webber! And my notes from webber's interview!

i thought his first statement was absolutely true when he said he has a very high basketball IQ. That is totally useless when playing with AI. The nets used to play the same offense as the Kings, although now i'm not sure what kind of offense the nets play now. Now they play this pass the ball a few times around the arch and then carter gets it and goes one on one. Yes he does make some great passes to Miki every once in a while, but its not the motion offense anymore.

You don't see back doors or give and goes, and the only player that runs the pick and roll well seems to be Marcus Williams. The nets are now back to playing good team defense, but they really need to work on team offense. Weber would be a great addition to this team with his high basketball IQ. Still VC needs to trust the motion offense and he will get just as many shots, but with better matchups.
