Honestly
At this point I can honestly say Ian Eagle is the best sports caster that is alive today.
I flipped on the TV today and he was calling his alma mater, Syracuse vs Villanova.
Even though I could care less about Syracuse basketball, Ian and whoever was doing color made it entertaining enough that I just kept watching.
I watch the Jets only because Ian calls the games.
Ian Eagle deserves an Emmy.

Oh snap it's Bill Rafferty! It's a Nets 1-2 punch! Wasn't there someone here on the board that said Rafferty was the best?

Wow...Raftery and Eagle calling MY alma mater! Thanks for the heads up Furnace. (even though 'Nova is getting beat up) I'm getting a little misty over here
Definitely my favorite announcing combo ever.

Not my fault!
Back when Rafferty was callin' the games, my parents didn't have cable so I couldn't watch the games!
That's why I don't know what his voice sounds like!

I hear ya, Bill was awesome doing color commentary for Net games and games in general. I agree with you on Ian, he's really become one of the best sports announcers in the business.
