Back to back nights against 2 premire post players, and he plays great. Holding Howard to 1 point is amazing and all the fouls he drew on him kept Howard on the bench and off the glass.

He's a valuable guy to have around.

Cliffy did great against Howard as well. (But he was terrible with his help defense. Just awful.)

colins played great d but hes still negative on the plus minus side!!

this game, not only Collins holds him, but also Cliffy and Moore.

3 of them did a good job, but Cliffy is also nice, he did much effort.

collins dosn't deserve ****, he has to earn a spot on the All-Defensive team. He won't get 1st or 2nd team TD, KG and probably Artest and AK will be locks in the ballets for Forwards, so collins will probably have to pick up his rebounding, blocks, and steals for him to be compaired to those other guys! Also Howard will probably be in a spot cuz he dominating on the boards and blocks this season...

he does suck. at everything. EXCEPT post defense.

he's not starter material. everyone knows this. he is most valuable against a big such as eddy curry, shaq, howard...etc.

collins is a very very good traditional low post defender, he does have skills that could be used against curry, shaq, and yao. Then his skills just drop off from there. What collins did tonight wasn't unique because Moore AND cliffy both had shots at defending howard and they obviously did just as well because his only point was a free throw.

Like i said before, for collins to be placed on an All-Defensive team he needs to be able to do more then contain few players and stop even fewer. He needs to have statical proof that he can grab defensive rebounds, get blocks and stelas.

And remember these are big guys who anchor themselves down low. Maybe Yao, Jermaine, or Bosh might step out for a midrange jumper, but when does Curry, Shaq or Howard step out of the 5 foot range? Collins is and has been a great post defender. Quicker guys were able to score a little earlier in the season but now it works out for them. Collins and Cliff understand to keep post players out of the paint - and since we've been winning plenty of superstar big men have begun to have virtually no effect in the games.
