Poll: For Vince fans (and Kidd fans) (Merged 3X)
Will you still follow the Nets and come to this board if either or both are traded to another team or you'll just forget about the Nets and populate Orlando/LA boards?

Re: Poll: For Vince fans (and Kidd fans)
Nets fan before they got here and will be a Nets fan after. I'll casually root for those guys like I have done most other ex-Nets (Cassell, KVH, Lou, etc...).
Although I must say, after tasting success in the Kidd era I have now realized it will be rough to go back to a crappy team. So I hope they remain a quality franchise. Either way I'll be pulling for the team.

I'm a Nets fan, but i will always cheer for former Nets if they were good to the franchise especially if that Net is Kidd.

Re: Poll: For Vince fans (and Kidd fans)
Regardless of who is on the team, I'm going to be a Nets fan.
I'll root for others if/once they leave, but I'll still be a Nets fan.

Re: Poll: For Vince fans (and Kidd fans)
No secret that I'm a Vince fan first, and if he leaves through trade or otherwise, my first rooting interest will be with that team. Doubly so if it's Orlando, because I'm a native Floridian, still live here, and spent a few months in Orlando when the franchise was brand new.
That said, I have come to love the flair of Marcus Williams' game and his exceptional passing skills. I also really like Nenad and Jefferson as people and as players. I respect Frank's knowledge of the game and his work ethic. So I would continue to follow the Nets, not nightly, but would check in on their games with some regularity and would probably cruise the forum here every now and then.
Honestly, part of me might like to see the Nets do poorly if he leaves as a kind of payback to some of the most vociferous, least reasonable or circumspect Carter critics. But then I would want them to do well because of some of the really passionate but fair Nets fans, like Netted, Petey, ghoti, and Aurelino.

Re: Poll: For Vince fans (and Kidd fans)
I'll be a nets fan, but my interest will be significantly dwindled. For instance when Kenyon Martin left and was replaced by the bad news bears I stopped following the team completely. Vince came and got me back into it. If vince or kidd goes I'll be similarly heartbroken, but if we get significant talent in return then that will help

If either Kidd or/and Carter are dealt, it's only fair to think they will fall off. But as long as Thorn is around we'll have something to look forward to.
Failure only makes success more sweet. As mentioned the Nets had bad team, full of characters. Hard to embrace guys. Look at the team now. Hard to dislike any of the players that Thorn has acquired outside of Zo. Look at the high the fans of the Raptors, Jazz, and Clippers (more so last year had).

Re: Poll: For Vince fans (and Kidd fans)
I like the Nets because of their ix of players and type of play. It would depend on what the Nets looked like afterwards. If they got D Wade then NO!

Re: Poll: For Vince fans (and Kidd fans)
very tough question to answer. I really was a knicks fan my whole life until they began to suck and until JKidd became a net. Then i changed to being a full time nets fan. Seeing Carter leave would not hurt me as much as seeing kidd leave. Although vince is my favorite player, the nets are nothing without JKIDD. To answer the question, ill keep rooting for the nets, but it will be painful. However, i dont see either going anywhere.
