Bernard Robinson Jr
I thought this would be a good place to find out what is going on with him. Seems like I am hearing the term buyout a lot with him and the Nets? I was just wondering if he has any chance at seeing sometime this season.
I had the pleasure of living in Ann Arbor when he commited and starting playing at UofM. Guy went through a lot from a bad incident legally to his Dad dieing before a game. He was always a favorite of mine.
Any info would be great.

Re: Bernard Robinson Jr
He probably won't see the court much, but if he works hard and impresses Frank, who knows? we weren't expecting anything out of Boki either.

I am just hoping he isn't bought out this season. If he gets the rest of the season in, he will have enough service time for the life-time penison and insurance

Re: Bernard Robinson Jr
fans are just speculating that if the team signs someone for the stretch run, he'd be the guy that would be cut to make room. It is probably unlikely. Coach Frank has a real problem using players that were mid-season acquisitions, unles they are absolutely the LRO (last remaining option) (see, John Thomas last season). He prefers that players play during training camp before giving them an opportunity. Nachbar didn't play at all last year, and Hassan Adams and Josh Boone probably haven't gotten the opportunity they deserve after being injured throughout all of training camp this year. B-Rob could play more of a role next season, if he's still around. The problem is that the Nets are loaded with SG/SF types. But you never know; Vince, House, and RJ could all be gone next year.

Re: Bernard Robinson Jr
well, I'd be surprised if he gets bought out unless someone on another team is bought out who could really help us, and has already agreed to terms with us.

why would RJ be gone? I doubt if Vince leaves, we'd get rid of RJ also. unless we were offered Gasol straight up, I suppose.

Re: Bernard Robinson Jr
The one thing I thought BRob could do at the NBA level is play defense. He can guard just about everything but centers. I was hoping the Bobcats were going to give him some PT but that never really panned out. Did burn the Knicks for one big game if I remember right though. Should be a Net favorite already lol

When is the waiver date players have to be bought out by in order to be elegible for the playoffs?

Re: Bernard Robinson Jr
Not sure of the Date, However I think he is safe here, i know how you feel about B-Rob, as I feel the same way with Josh Boone.
Trust me B-Rob will be here at least through the end of the season, if we fall apart which may happen look for him to get some time.

Re: Bernard Robinson Jr
frank inserted him today for about 10 seconds and I thought that he would let him play for a while and he didn't. I would have liked to see him stay in and it probably would have helped us but this is the world according to frank here......

Re: Bernard Robinson Jr
Frank should have used him more, I thought he had put him on for more speed.

Re: Bernard Robinson Jr
Rosters are set for the post season at this point. Players had to be waived by March 1 to be eligible. Dont see no one there who was waived or bought out.
