Sofo rights

Well would any of you at least consider trading this years 1st rounder for the rights to SCHORTSANITIS? If we end up with a pick located around the 9-11 mark with no clear common sense pick on the board? His stats this year were a little on the underwhelming side but perhaps even a sweetner to a trade down scenario...

Pretty unlikely or possible for that matter but interesting points of discussion fuels this place right?

I think with some time with Bill Cartwright his natural ability would be harnessed to its full potential.

Daydreaming is fuuuuuuuuuuuun....

Re: Sofo rights

I can't say I've followed him/heard much about him since all the news of him playing well in that tournament.

Any word on if/when he plans on coming to the NBA?

Re: Sofo rights

The word was "eventually" if I my memory can sift the reporting from the BS after he dismantled the USA in the WC's. But hey he could end up waiting like subonis did...

Just a brainstorm, i'd even settle for a 20lb lighter glen davis...

Honestly if I was an NBA quality slasher, no one at NJ is overly hard to get around or jump over. A lane-clogger with scoring skills at least makes it a challenge for the opposition. Moore and Collins are easy to get around (and over), Boone has the skills but is more of a help side shot blocker instinct wise and last time Cliffy yelled a defiant "my house", Kurt Cobain was still alive and well...

Re: Sofo rights

A couple of points:

1. Whereas he destroyed the US, working with Spanoulis, Spain shut him down in the finals at the Worlds. US played ****ty (i.e. no) defense on the pick and roll. Spain, even without Gasol, destroyed Greece by stopping the pick and roll.

2. He is only averaging 7.5 ppg in the Euroleague and 10 ppg in the Greek league.

3. He does have just a teeny weeny bit of a weight problem.

4. He was drafted in the second round for a reason.

He has said he wants to join the NBA this year.

I would truly rather take a chance on Korolev, the 20 year old Russian the Clippers are going to let go.
