I'm ambivalent on this too. Although anybody can get hot at playoff time and hey ya never know, last night Vince Carter had to grab and stuff a Kidd airball at the buzzer in regulation for the Nets to win in overtime against a weak team missing 4/5th of its starting lineup. On the bright side, Boone arrived last night.
Unless other losing teams try not to win, a top 9 or 10 spot going into the lottery is not out of the question. A little luck and we got a top 3 pick. No luck, we get a useful 4 who could develop into a player.

Playoffs without a doubt. The Nets aren't winning the lottery. As long as they don't face the Pistons in the first round, most everyone will give them a shot. Once you win a couple games, who knows what it could turn into. I'm not against blowing up the team, but getting a pick that's only spots lower wouldn't get me that excited.

Winning games is best for a team if they can win ALL the games. If not, your just wasting your time.

There is no point. If we win now, we won't get any better. If we lose now, we're more likely to address weaknesses, get a better pick, we'll improve more after a season that we won't do anything in anyway.

Well, it worked out for the Cavs just fine. I'm not saying we should lose all of the games on purpose, I'm just hoping that we lose after a good effort.

Take it from a Braves fan, if you keep making the playoffs, you can do well enough for a while, but after a while, your team is just full of mid-late draft picks and duct tape to keep making the playoffs. You don't win a championship that way.

If they can't even assure themselves of the 7 spot, whats the point? Who are they? Where are they going?
Could be the difference between the Wright pick, the right pick,
or the McRoberts pick.
