IF they want to be well prepared for Round 2, they will want to finish this series off ASAP.

Game 2, no Cliffy (suspension) = no bench = no hope.

Well here are a few:
1) Frank telling Williams to foul Ford with 1.1sec play in the first quarter, thinking they had a foul to give which they didn't, and giving them 2 freebie points. (this may look like a small thing but it can be game changing at the wrong time. Think back on the Suns/Nets game when he told Vince to foul in the last min of the game when he had 5 fouls!)
2) Carter playing like **** until the last 2 minutes.
3) They were leading by 15 at the end of 3rd, it was a 1 point game halfway through the fourth.
I am sure there are more but thats just off the top of my head.

Re: Bottom Line: We won
We need to finish this series at 4 or 5 games so we can prepare for the Cavs. Oh yeah, and hope to God/Allah/bleh that Wizards take at least one game against the Cavs.

Did you watch that game? Because this is not what I am talking about! I know they didn't have Cliffy. I am talking about their body language and intent. They weren't trying. They were happy with gaining home advantage. All the espn commentators even pointed it out.

I think they're going to try to assert themselves right out of the gate Tuesday, and I would not be suprised in the least if this series was tied 1-1.
I also wouldn't be suprised if RJ, Kidd, and Carter have big games and the bench produces, and we're up 2-0.

Well to be fair, that was after Stern changed the league policy on carrying weapons and KG could no longer distract Zach with his pump, uzi and couple M-16s.

I did watch this game, and I submit to you that when the big three have to score 30 points a game, and only Kristic can save you, you can talk yourself out of winning pretty easily.
What you're fearing here, in this series, is a complacency, or lack of will/confidence...Not this round. We are going to win this series. I'm sure of that.
Also, espn broadcasters do not impress me with their insights, so yeah, I will say that the Nets began to look defeated vs. the Heat last year, but this is a new year and a different series/road to the finals.
Don't discount the effect of a bench, we were living off Cliff scoring 12-16 points last year, there's reason to believe that we can make noise this year.

You are right about the bench. Its atleast 10 times better. Plus we finally have a game changer who comes off the bench in Boki. But the way they have played in the regular season you never know which Nets will show up for the next game
