Re: Bottom Line: We won
Nobody freaked out, they stayed calm and got it done. They played like a complete team, not some injury riddled team on a wing and a prayer.

Re: Bottom Line: We won
Carter was smart about his missed shots. You all have to understand that his shots were good looks. Sure he didn't make them, nor adjust, but the only positive is he was aware that he shouldn't take 30 shots on a night like this because he has other guys like RJ , Nachbar, and Moore to do the scoring. Thats at least two more than last year. Moore and Nachbar should give us at least 20 ppg together. Eventhough I can see Kidd, Carter, RJ, Moore, Nachbar, Boone, Williams all get over 20. Heck the way Wright played today even he can get 20. Oh yes I forgot about House even he can get hot. We have 9 guys who can put the ball in the net.
THings to work on:
1. Defending the point: Just like last year against Anthony Parker- Kidd has to do a much better Job on defense. I don't mind if Kidd doesn't score, but I do have a problem with the way Calderon and Ford played today. Vince did a solid job of playing defense on the point. I think Vince should cover the point more often, it seems hes a better defender when he has to cover someone who has the ball most of the time. Kidd will do a good job on Parker, Graham or whoever. It is good whenever Vince was on Ford, he didn't even attempt to score.

Re: Bottom Line: We won
Note that Moore+Kidd+Carter shot 11-38, that is unlikely to occur again.
Meanwhile Calderon+ Bosh+ Ford shot 18-43 (42%) not that bad. Ford shot 8/13 thats way too much. Coaching staff have to adjust. They should let Bosh be the focal point. And force a 40 point game.

The Heat featured two of the worst matchups possible for the Nets. Perhaps you know D. Wade and Shaquille (O'neal)?

Re: Bottom Line: We won
I think if we play them this year, I would honestly put Vince on Dwade. If Vince gets torched its ok, he gets torched. And on the other end, remove the scoring responsibility of Vince, and let him become a playmaker, we've got so many more weapons than last year.

I hope House is still in stroke, I'm a little worried that a hip injury is going to affect how he pivots in midair for his quickdraw jumpers.

thats the stupidest thing ive heard in a while...WHAT? why in the world would u waste carters energy guarding wade when we need him to put up big #s, when hes not even a good defender. you put sumone like wright on him who can focus all his energy on wade, and if he scores thats a bonus

I've seen weird things happen. I remember when Sam Mitchell was the coach, Vince scored 5 and 'held wade to 22 points, but the heat lost. As long as the heat lost.

Re: Bottom Line: We won
The chances of a team that loses game 1 @ home winning the series is slim in itself. I'm sure that's got to bug the Raptors players a little bit. I'm sure VC will bounce back in game 2.

That was a way different Heat team than the Heat team we know today when VC used to play for the Raptors.

Well that's expected from a veteran ball club w/ tons of playoff experience.

In fact, from game 3, we didn't have cliffy.
but by the way, RJ sprained his ankle in game 1.
that's one of the reason that we lose in the game 2.

3) They were leading by 15 at the end of 3rd, it was a 1 point game halfway through the fourth.
I am sure there are more but thats just off the top of my head.

they did have a foul to give, the ref inexplicably called the foul in the act of shooting. that's why ford went to the line, not because the coaching staff forgot how many fouls the team had. after VC fouling out in the PHX game i would really doubt the staff would make a mistake like that again.

the wade of back then was not the championship MVP wade of today. He is a much better player today than he was in his first 2 years in the league.
