Re: the last play last night (merged)
Perfect play. Raptors were not letting anyone penetrate the lane. Carter was hounded. Boki was wide open. Unfortunately Boki sucked all game, not just on that shot. You would think the law of averages would've been on his side.

Re: the last play last night (merged)
Vince made the right play on the last play last night. The shot just didn't got down, but it was the best look the Nets could have gotten, and he stayed patient and waited for it to develop.

Re: the last play last night (merged)
Vince was headed to the goal but three Raptors collpased on him leaving Boki WIDE open. It was off a broken play in which Kidd's pass was knocked around until Kidd retrieved it and they had to scramble. Was it the best play in the world? No but it was more then adequate. Boki missed a shot he normally makes.

the second he passed it i though "Yes yes! Boki's gonna redeem himself!"
It was the right move, Boki just couldn't hit it.

Re: the last play last night (merged)
I was really surprised about the articles saying that it was Vince's mistake.
Boki did have a bad shooting night, but I agree that VC didn't have a very good chance to score either. I thought it was the right play by VC.
haha, while bosh was shooting his free throw,i was predicting a similar play to what happened last season. and it was practically deja vu except that there was more time on the clock.

Re: the last play last night (merged)
Same play that he hit that huge buzzer beater last year on the Raptors... Kidd handoff to Vince in the left wing.
Vince follows the progression,
- quick shot off handoff, no
- dribble penetrate and look off to Kidd, no
- dribble and drive to hoop, no
- dribble and suck in defender --> dump off to open Boki
It's been said enough times, clearly he made the right play. I wanted him to take it though and stick a dagger into Toronto right through the heart. Vince wanted to do it but it just wasn't there.

Re: the last play last night (merged)
It was a good play, if Boki would have hit it then everybody would have been going crazy and congratulating VC on the play and Boki on the shot and all would have been well. But Boki missed it so we just have to wait until Friday to end the series.

Re: the last play last night (merged)
Reading those articles proves that the writers are full of absolute ****. Carter played as well as one could hope. He didnt rush the play and settle for a contested 30 footer or an off balance jumper. He took his time and waited for things to materialize. VC did everything he possibly could for Boki to get a great look at the 3. If anyone is to blame, its Nachbar who missed 7 consecutive three balls and nearly airballed an open one that could have won the game. Hell, the guy had no business being in the game at that point.

Re: the last play last night (merged)
It's obvious that was the right play to make since he had no other options that could have led to a good look and if you're on the road in front of some of the loudest fans in the NBA, you definintely go for the win rather than OT. It was a good play, if that shot went in no one would be criticizing it other than the few Vince haters going "he doesn't have the balls to be clutch blahblah."

Re: the last play last night (merged)
Boki - the guy who was shooting 50% from 3 before this game - got an open set 3 that should've ended the series
HOW ARE YOU GUYS CRITICIZING THIS?
A MISS DOESN'T AUTOMATICALLY EQUAL A BAD PLAY
IT LED TO A WIDE OPEN 3 - BLAMING FRANK FOR 'DESIGNING A PLAY' THAT DID ITS JOB(get an open shot) IS STUPID
Seriously guys. Whatever VC did, if it didn't end in a shot going in, you guys were going to criticize him. So, don't pretend VC made a bad decision. In your mind, a missed shot = a bad shot. If he shot it and missed, you guys would've been crying about how open Boki was on the perimeter. What a bunch of clowns.

Re: the last play last night (merged)
Since when is Vince scared of taking the last shot? Hes always the guy in the end of games.
If you asked me before hand, I would of signed up for a wide *** open Nachbar 3 at the buzzer to end the series
