the mavs were a 67 win team and should already have one title banner minus some controversy. they just need someone that can score around the block so teams cant run small forwards like stephen jackson playing center. if the mavs had a guy that could score around the block, golden state would have had to play foyle and biedrins more, with less harrington/ellis/jackson/barnes, would have really leveled off the playing field.

maybe dampier and a 1st rounder for zydrunas?
maybe take a HUGE gamble on kenyon martin?

mavs were one quarter away from going up 3-0 on Heat last year and pretty much winning the championship before Wade took over, so its a little stretch to say teams cant win with European guys leading them. Dirk not being able to handle the pressure has more to do with his mental make up than where he is from . Also him and Pau are like only two guys from Europe ever that had team build around them, so using them as an example for this theory just doesnt quite seem satisfying.
