Why would you guys complain about the long break? I think it works in the Nets favor.
Cavs had time to rest, so this will give the Nets some time to rest up. The Nets are a much older team. And gives Kidd and RJ a chance to heal up. House might be able to come back earlier in the series if he was supposed to be back. Allows Frank to play Kidd, Carter and RJ major minutes (foul situation premitting) in game 2.

Everyone's got a similar break in all the matchups. At least I can go to games starting Monday since I'll be home from school. Just gotta get tickets.
