Haywood Asks For Trade

Michael Wilbon of the Washington Post -
Brendan Haywood, Washington center, has told president of basketball operations Ernie Grunfeld he wants to be traded this summer, according to two team sources and a league source with knowledge of the situation.
Haywood's relationship with Eddie Jordan is beyond repair, according to sources.
"He pretty much said that the relationship between himself and Eddie had gotten to the point where he didn't want to be in Washington anymore because he doesn't feel that he'll be treated fairly," the league source said. [READ]
Thorn should start inquiring about him. Wright, Bernard Robinson should be offered.

Re: Haywood Asks For Trade
With all the junk that went on between him and Etan Thomas, I'm surprise one of them wasn't moved earlier.

Twin owed $12 million, Haywood owed $16 million. I'll take Twin.

Re: Haywood Asks For Trade
If a player can't get along with Eddie Jordan, how in the hell is he going to get along with Frank?

Eddie loves collins, and has experience using him before. And the nets would like to have a Krstic haywood combo next season. Also this would give boone and moore an opportunity to step up

the problem isn't really w/ Jordan, its w/ E. Thomas. Haywood and Thomas get into fights almost every day and Jordan is siding w/ Thomas. Thats why Haywood dosn't feel that he will get a fair chance in washington

No, the problem is with Jordan. Haywood said that. Jordan benched him. They will have a hard time trading him, although Atlanta is always available.

You are nuts.
Do you think Haywood could shut down Bosh or Jermaine O'Neal? Do you think he could slow down Zydrunas? Do you think Haywood could even be a speed bump to Shaq? At least Collins is a mosquito that Shaq has to swat and Ben Wallace might be able to act like a gnat. But who else can even get Shaq's attention?
