Premature overreatcion thread
well, this is something that I'd like, but I know I'm just being dumb. I'd like to see this happen anyway, as we'd probably be favorites for the next 2 or 3 years. It'll never happen, but oh well.
1. Trade VC for AK47
why Utah does it: gives them what they lack the most: a go-to scorer, a great wing, who fits in better on Utah than Kirilenko, as Kirilenko is being asked to play as a wing, and he's really a big.
why NJ does it: helps out the Nets where they need it most, at the 4. gives an inside defensive presence, the first real shotblocker the Nets have had since KMart. Is in many ways like KMart, except a better playmaker and defender, although worse scorer/rebounder.
2. Trade Krstic, Boone, 07 first round pick for KG
Why Minnesota does it: They aren't going anywhere as they currently are constructed. They get 2 guys who could fit well together, and start for the next decade in the froncourt, along with a mid-first round pick in perhaps the deepest, best draft ever.
Why NJ does it: Gets them another superstar, one of the best players in the league. 'nuff said.
3. Re-sign Mikki Moore
gives us:
Kidd/Williams
Wright/House/Adams
Jefferson/Nachbar
Kirilenko/Moore
Garnett/Collins/Ilic
essentially the team that brought us to the finals, except with two KMarts, and a better bench.

Krstic and Boone's salaries don't sniff KG, under CBA won't work.
VC won't fit in at Utah under Sloans' tough as nails concept, go to scorer, where was he last night?

Kirelenko better defender than K Mart? Kirelenko blocks more shots, but he gets beat more often.
And ID do either trade, doubt other teams would.
I think teams know Boone cant create on his own.
I think Krstics value is lower than Ty Thomas right now.(Close though, others thoughts on that?)
I think other than seat filling, every team may be turned off to Vince. Charlotte makes sense

KMart is an elite man defender. Maybe the best in the NBA.
But even cpawfan can't tell me he knows that's still the case right now.
As for Kirilenko, he is more of a help defender, but he's just an awesome disruptive force on that end.
