Hard Fouls
So the Cavs are still complaining about Mikki's hard foul on Pavlovic. Now, am I dreaming, but didn't the Cavs start this with a series of hard fouls in Game 3, most notably on RJ? If I'm not mistaken, Pavlovic pounded RJ at least twice when he was driving towards the hoop. I vaguely remember Bill Walton saying something along the lines of, "someone has to stop this, or someone will get hurt." IIRC, he also made some comments about "respecting the game" and how the Cavs' hard fouls in Game 3 were "not meant to be part of basketball," or something like that.
Am I imagining this? Or do the Cavs have a selective memory? If I'm right, why are the Nets beat reporters not bringing this up?

now you mentioned it, i remembered that bill said that about the hard fouls. i dont remember if it's 2 or 3 times but RJ was definitely involved. it's like walton was saying like no defense only hard fouls?? if i'm right.
James was complaining about the intent of the "nets" to hurt Sasha ( http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/preview;...51605&prov=ap). as for hard fouls, they should know that it's part of the playoffs and rivalries start from such acts.

Re: Hard Fouls
I feel like Antoine Wright may have been hammered once, too.

Re: Hard Fouls
They did foul RJ hard a couple of times, I remember making mention of it in the game thread when it was happening.

Re: Hard Fouls
Yeah, and James was complaining about the hard screens on Pavlovic in game 3. He said they were targeting him. Of course they were. They needed the hard screens in order to break Pavlovic's grip on Vince. They grab and bump more than any team I've seen and they complain about the Nets getting physical.
Can we all say "ref baiting!" Guess who's going to get the benefit of even more calls now at home?

Re: Hard Fouls
We're not gonna roll over like Washington did last season for them. No way, no how. It's the playoffs! What do they really expect? Suck it up Cleveland.

Re: Hard Fouls
man what a baby lebron is, as if his constant complaining to officials over every single foul/traveling violation called isn't enough. its okay for pavolovic to rake RJ across the shoulders 3 times, talk trash to vince carter, and then when he gets hit in the lane, its unfair? what a baby.

Re: Hard Fouls
Well LBJ is going to bat for his guy, that's the way it's supposed to be, you see things from your side, why the Nets haven't said anything about hard stuff on them is beyond me, I mean if you cared for your teammates you'd go to bat for the guy on and off the court, just like LBJ did on the court confronting Mikki and off going to the press. This might have been our chance to get LBJ taken out of the series.

This regime under Frank doesn't play games through the media. While it's a respectible to not stoop to that level, that level also has shown time and time again it's effectiveness in swinging a series and has ended up costing us a few times. Netted hit it right on the head, be ready for some crap calls tonight as the Nets are under a microscope. The poor little Cavs know they'll need all the help they can get tonight.

If Frank was smart he would call it out in his press conference today. He shouldn't over look those comments. He should say what's really going on. He should say, "The Nets have not tried to intentionally hurt anyone and I find the remarks offensive. Pavlovic has been holding and pulling on Vince all series. It's been pushy on both sides and the Cavs are trying to influence how the game is officiated tonight with these recent comments. They're home so they don't need anymore help."
Once you say that the refs have to call it fair because they will be the ones under the microscope and not the Nets.

We've already played like we're up 3-1. Now it's time to take care of business.
