i still think we need the dominant scorer VInce to show up if we have a chance in this series. didn't show up tonight and we scored 5 points in the 4th.

I wish he was that player, but he just isn't.

He is incapable of dominating a game like that in this series.

He needs to play like he did tonight for the Nets to win.

but thats what he does best, he is a scorer. probably due to the intensity of the play-offs and some pretty good d by the cavs he is in a pretty bad slump. i'm all for him being a playmaker if he doesn't have the touch, but he just has to snap out of it and have a hot shooting game sooner then later. even Kidd has had his shot fall in certain games, i think its just a matter of time. kind of glad it didn't happen tonight which leaves the more chance for the big offensive explosion to come in the next game.

I think Vince was still bothered by game five and understood the pressure. I honestly don't believe he wanted to play teh superstar role and risk a loss in this game.

vince carter is saving the organization....from overpaying him this offseason by about 20 million dollars. Quite frankly, any GM outside of Thorn (needing the marketability that VC brings) who offers him more than 10 milllion a season, should be thrown in the luney bin.

well Vince hasn't played the superstar all that much since the play-offs started. not once in this series. i can understand the pressure that was on him in the toronto series but if he is indeed a superstar, we need him now.

and is his marketability still as high as it used to be. seems to me its been on his way down with his athletisism. he still is an exciting player, but i think that has significantly gone done in the last season, maybe even last half-season. dont remember the last time vince had a great dunk actually, and there been too many missed alleys and plays where "old vince" would have just dunked but this vince tried a twisting lay-up, missed and no foul, ohh and by "old vince" i dont mean air canada, i mean vince from last year.

so you people really think Miki Moore and Josh Boone are really 20 point scorers? Or does the fact they were double teaming Vince and his pin point passing was crutial in this win? 12 pts and 10 assists is like scoring over 32 pts. How was that not a great game? He was very Kidd like. Tonight Vince played within the team concept and helped the nets win, and did i mention his defense tonight?? Great game by Vince.

Another weird stat for this game. The nets were out scored in the 4th 13 to 6. I don't think the nets ever held to just six pts in a 4th qtr in a playoff game before.
