Colorado State 's Jason Smith is the other guy that really jumps out at you. As we wrote in our review of his workout, Smith is much more athletic than you think. And his lane agility and sprint tests are off the charts. His vertical jump and strength aren't too shabby either. He does have short arms, but everything else turned out great.
Quote:
Nick Young is another guy who came out looking well, though I think that standing reach number must be a typo. His no step vertical of 39.5 inches was flat out amazing.
Jason Smith looking very good right now at 17.

Re: Combine Results

Corey Brewer much less athletic than advertised -- tested similar to Antoine Wright.

Durant also "disappointing", not that it matters.

Nick Young's reach has to be a typo. Similar height and wingspan as Thadeus Young's but 6" shorter reach? Does that mean he has a 12" neck?

Stuckey tested similar to Wade and Foye.

Oden is a beast.

Most of the SFs are shorter than advertised, except Jeff Green and Julian Wright.

Mike Conley is the best all-around athlete of the top prospects.

Who would have guessed Jason Smith would test better than Joakim Noah?

He'll never last now...never. he will wind up at #13 to #15.

He was poorly used at Colorado State. His coach was fired after two disappointing seasons.

He can also shoot and is intelligent. Heard him in an interview with Ford. Says his favorite player ever is Dirk Nowitzki.

Assuming no trades:

Atlanta at #11 could take anything, but one of their picks will likely be a PG, according to common speculation.

76ers at #12 could take anything here. Although with Igudala and Carney they could lean towards big.

New Orleans at #13 will take a SG/SF.

Clippers at #14 will almost certainly take a PG after Livingston's injury.

Pistons at #15 . . . no idea. Wouldn't surprise me if they took someone like Nick Young here.

Wizards at #16 almost certainly a big man.

So the Nets' competition for a big man is probably Philly and Washington. Would you trade Marcus for the Clippers' #14 pick?

According to Ford Atlanta is leaning towards Brandan Wright at 3 and Crittenton at 11.

Wizards are expecting Pecherov next year so they may pass on a big.

He and Dudley are going to be steals. I can see Isiah drafting D.J.
