Well to be fair, that was after Stern changed the league policy on carrying weapons and KG could no longer distract Zach with his pump, uzi and couple M-16s.

Should be interesting to see how McGrady takes the news.

Wasn't Howard a target of Thorn's this season?

Re: OT: Rockets-T'Wolves trade
Howard has two years left, good for $14.3 million. He's 34 years old. He's a power forward who averaged 26.6 minutes per game last season. He pulled down 5.9 rebounds, or about a rebound every five minutes. He averaged 0.10 blocks per game! OUCH!
In other words, Howard is way past retirement age, and Minnesota is paying him his $14.3 million. Houston always liked Mike James, but just getting rid of Howard's salary means they came out ahead.

Damn, seeing Rafer and James as a backcourt duo should be something.
Until proven wrong, I'll say TWolves got the better of this trade.
But someone tell me how McHale keeps his job

Re: OT: Rockets-T'Wolves trade
Does this foreshadow that Minnesota will draft COnley at #7?

It takes Twin close to six minutes to grab a rebound. Just saying.

Twin's 5 times the defensive player J. Howard is.

Re: OT: Rockets-T'Wolves trade
Eddy curry is what J howard is going to be in 8 years.
Anyways, Houston got the better end of the deal. Here is a small scenario.
Yao has the ball in the box. The perimeter is a combination of James, Alston, head, Mcgrady, Padgett, Battier. Yeah I doubt Yao is hurting after watching threes bombing like it was nothing.

Re: OT: Rockets-T'Wolves trade
Houston has a new coach who likes to run and gun. James fits that style but no team is ever going to win anything with Rafer Alston starting at the point.

With Foye holding down the starting spot (not to mention the majority of the minutes) and Hudson's god awful contract still on the bench I don't think it's a foregone conclusion to take Conley. The Wolves need help at pretty much every position and have Davis, Jaric, and McCants who can bring the ball up as well. Personally I still think they're taking Noah or Brewer, but I also don't think this is the last trade we see from Minnesota either.

Re: OT: Rockets-T'Wolves trade
I've since read that they will likely draft one of the three Florida players--Noah, Brewer, and Horford.

Kevin McHale admits yet another mistake. Who do you have to rape to get fired in Minnesota?
