mid range jumper automatic - check
can rebound - check
can score - check
doesnt get rejected by rim and/or numerous defenders at same time on layup/dunk attempts. - check
and still manages to play just as decent defense as collins.

No to KT. He's got no back to the basket game, and his scowl and crazy eyes
do not make up for his vastly overrated rebounding and defense. How many pick and pop jump shooting bigs to we really need to collect?

I'd rather have Vince. About 5 years younger and most importantly, a much better player. If we can find a way to add Kurt without giving up any major pieces, then that's a different story.

Kurt Thomas is a pro. Not some kid learning the game. He makes his rotations reliably. He knows the tendencies and preferences of low post players throughout the league, because he's got more than a decade of experience guarding them. He understands exactly where he fits into a game and what is within his bounds an what is not. Boone might make plays that Thomas couldn't dream of accomplishing, but that doesn't make him a better NBA basketball player.
All that being true, I'd rather have Boone out there learning than KT at the end of his career.
