Re: Hassan and Marcus... improving by the second.
If both of them can develop a two-way game, I'd love to see them on the court together as part of a defensive unit. Put them opposite the opponent's starters for five minutes, and they would pester them to the point of exhaustion . . . then you sub in RJ and carter, and Bam! Ten quick points. The Pistons used to have a tremendous all-defense unit that they would use like that.

If both improve yes one of them would have to hit the jumper.
Not in the starting lineup though try it in the second quarter.
Krstic at center and Josh at the power forward with Kidd leading them.

The Nets had the personnel to do that last year.
Maybe Adams and Wright aren't Lindsay Hunter and Mike James, but they could have really caused the other team trouble.
I thought both of them did fine scoring when they absolutely had to, and with no Carter on the floor it might have helped them get going.
How about this lineup playing full court pressure defense?
House
Adams
Wright
Boone
Collins
No need to worry about fouls, just cause chaos and make the other team work.
Maybe with the extra rest Carter can try on defense for more of his time on the court.

That lineup needs Kidd desperately. Substitute House for Kidd and I think (w/ some court time together to work out the kinks), you've got something.

Good post. I'm really suprised we didn't really see that happen at all last year. There were a couple times Frank flirted with the idea but then went right back to Kidd and Carter as soon as he could.

Kidd would be ideal, but I didn't include him because I think the best use of a lineup like this is to have the starters off the floor so they can play with more intensity in the fourth quarter (and closing out the half).
Kidd has to get under 32 MPG and it's about time somebody in the Nets organization started taking that initiative seriously.
House has a ton of energy, can shoot and handle the ball, and he is great at driving and kicking the ball to an open man or a cutter.
I think he plays pressure defense really well - much better than I expected when he signed.
I was very impressed with his guard skills last year.

I've long felt that it is Kidd that should be out there w/ the backups, not RJ or VC. Esp. if its going to be a defensive and running lineup. No one in that lineup can either create their own shot or create a shot for someone else, hell Collins can't score at all!!! Gotta have Kidd in there or the offense will be a disaster. I agree that the Nets need to get Kidd's minutes down to the 32 area, but I think that Kidd should be out there w/ the backups. Isn't that supposed to be the benefit of having another 'franchise' guy on the team? Let Marcus (or whoever the backup pg is) and Vince play together w/ the rest of the starters for a good 15 minutes or so a game. Kidd is an energy guy. The Nets should get him out on the court w/ the other energy guys, instead of the ball holders and ball droppers in the starting lineup.

I know; I mentioned it a few times last season. I especially think that Wright and Adams would be a good pair on the court together, since Wright's offensive skills are those of a SG, while Adams is those of a SF; but because of their respective sizes, Adams can guard the opposing SG and Wright the opposing SF. I am guessing that if Adams can develop like Wright did last summer, they may get more of a chance together.

I'm excited to see it, especially if both have improved their jump shots.
