Bobcats turned down the NETS for May!

Charlotte Observer reported Wednesday that the Nets offered their first round pick to the Bobcats for former lottery pick Sean May...but Charlotte turned them down. According to the Observer, the 'Cats while unhappy with May's conditioning and record of injuries, weren't willing to "give him away". The Nets were interested in taking May, a 6'-10" power forward from North Carolina, in the 2005 draft but the Bobcats beat them to it. Draft Express reported the Nets had offered the pick and Boki Nachbar.
I guess Sean May isn't coming to NJ after all.

Phew. I will say that I'm glad to hear that the proposed deal was the 17th for May and not the 17th and Boki. But this is a moot point now.

Good thing, why should we trade our best bench player and a 17th pick in a great draft for a guy that has only played like 50 games.

May has played 58 games in his career, and has missed 104 due to injury. Rather draft a player like Williams who I know wont miss 6 months with a sprained ankle because he actually gives a damn about conditioning.

Well the bobcats need May too.If he could stay healthy they'd have a pretty solid frontcourt.I would guess that May has cracked the 30 point mark four or five times.He's really terrific from 12 foot and he plays the pick and pop very well.Of course he's also perpetually overweight and injured.
I'd still rather have Danny Granger exactly as I said on draft night 2005.Ironically he slid because of a knee injury in college.

the 17th for May is much better then Boki and the 17th for May...but with that being said I'm still unsure about him. When he's healthy, he's put up some alright numbers...but how often is he going to be healthy?

I would have given just the pick....but Boki, that's too much, we've finally helped a part where we lacked and we're giving it away for something who has a history of injuries.
