Said it yesterday afternoon...the only reason for the Nets to push Moore so hard is that they have something else in the works and need to know his situation so they can adjust finances.

Blatche is a roll of the dice. That much money, long term, in a kid who has shown just a little?

There is also a real possibility that the Wizards match, which could tie the Nets money up in the process.

Magloire is a short term answer that does not require a long term commitment.

Agreed.

They were giving Moore an opportunity before moving on.

Is any other team even going to make Moore a better offer? His agent says he talked with the Nets today. I'm sure there's still hope.

I don't think the door is really closed on Moore. The quote from Thorn is from the other day where as the quote from Moore's agent is from last night.

And I really don't see the Nets treating Moore like this after what he did for us last season and the way both parties talked about each other in the past.

Nets treating him how? Nets offered 10 mil over three. Mikki wants more. That's Mikki's perrogative as a free agent, he wants to cash in that's his right as a free agent. I don't think the Nets are treating him bad. It's just business.

He will simply not get more elsewhere. And that "moving on" quote is new. Thorn didn't use those words the other day.

Money would be tied up for seven days...or less. Teams have up to seven days to match.

If he only had a little while to make a decision? If I were him and the Nets gave me 30 minutes (or how ever long he had) to make a decision like that I would have denied it too. He wanted the opportunity to explore his other options before he dose something like that but the way the Nets/Thorn are making it sound is that it was a take it or leave it kind of deal. I just don't see the Nets doing something like that to a good guy who helped them a lot last year.

Sorry, I got that from this from that same article Dave D wrote on late Monday night/early Tuesday.

"We had told the Nets that Mikki had a couple of visits, and that he wanted the opportunity to hear what teams had to say, and the Nets said they're basically moving on and will try something else.
