FYI, jumpshooting teams NEVER win. Unfortunately, this organization still hasn't learned that yet.

i'm agreeing w/ Jizzy, because a lagit post player like Magloire would allow kidd, Carter, Jefferson to get better shots. And that would help out our half-court game ALOT! Because w/ Magloire teams will have to play man or zone against the nets. And w/ Magloire as a lagit post player, the zone would be useless.

Re: More Magloire News
OK i am confused.. Why are people calling Magloire a post player? yes he scores most of his points from under the basket but thats because he has no skills outside. He's also not a prolific scorer. His best season was 4 years ago when he averaged 13 points per game. His points will be coming from assist to down under for easy lay up or put backs.
if we get him, it will be because of his rebounding; nothing more. He's not going to help the offense in any way.
oh and paying him more than 4 mil per year is overpaying.

Re: More Magloire News
He's not going to shoot like Mikki is, so he won't be filling that need, hopefully a returning Krstic can.
But he brings rebounding in the low post. Can't hurt to bring him on if the price is right, though as I said before, I like Blatche.

Well to be fair, that was after Stern changed the league policy on carrying weapons and KG could no longer distract Zach with his pump, uzi and couple M-16s.

You are mistaken. Magloire is an exceptional post player. He can also finish and rebound and we'd finally bring Collins off the bench.

He might be better than any big men on this team.
No matter how sucking he is that you say.

Excuse me for not memorizing all the cities in New Jersey.
But you are correct in that most native Manhattanites spend very little time thinking about New Jersey.

Re: More Magloire News
What's kind of funny is that I know Totowa and Ottawa for the same reason - hockey.
When I was a kid, I used to go to Ice World and see the semi-pro New Jersey Rockets play.

um yes he's better than collins on offense, but there are many many many many many players who are better than collins on the post. Krstic is probably better than magloire in the low post(krstic has some nifty moves.. he just doesn't use it much).
Magloire's post offense might be better than Collins but it still won't be good enough to be effective.
10ppg doesn't make you an exceptional post player.
