Re: Looks like Ilic is gone too
the nets won't make money until they leave this state and go to a place where the fans will appreciate a good program. I couldn't believe last year when they had to sell special packages for the second round of the playoffs, and still could not sell out. By moving to Brookyln the nets will finally have a home court advantage.

The Nets are officially a subsidiary of Forest City Enterprises, a publicly traded company that files reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission. FCE, which is controlled by the Ratner family, regularly files reports on the Nets financial status with the SEC. They must be accurate or the company can be fined by the SEC or sued by their shareholders.
In filing after filing after filing by FCE, the Nets' losses are chronicled and quantified. The teams' finances are a public document.

It was you, wasn't it, who two days ago chastised a poster for criticizing Ilic by noting that if Krstic had come over a year after being picked he too would have been unfairly criticized?
Just checking.

I said that, but that has nothing to do with my post.
Ilic, like Marcus, Linton, Marc and Hassan was built up far, far to high because of hype in this forum. In every case, when the train crashed, it was ugly.
Unlike most, I don't let the upswing nor the downswing of the hype train impact my opinion of players. However, the hype train is hilarious and the Sean train is going to be a hilarious ride.

you can say that again.
I mean from the way people talk you think the guy is Greg Oden or Dennis Rodman reborn.
He's just a rookie.

So if people getting paid millions are not too concern about the Net competing for a ring. Why should I be? I'm going to be a fan watch games and cheer. but I'm not going to kill myself over what the Nets are and are not doing

Re: Looks like Ilic is gone too
I just think it's a shame these kids didn't get much of a chance to show their worth and are being primarily cut as a financial moves. I understand it fine, it just kinda sucks.
I'll keep the Hassan train going as best I can.
