Re: We Can Get These 3 Guards...
Eddie, Knight, Pargo, and Anthony Johnson(is he a FA?) seem most plausible.

Getting more and more clear that we need to bring House back, for a myriad of reasons

Re: We Can Get These 3 Guards...
I was reading the Marty Burns mailbag posted on Nets Daily when a player was mentioned who I liked coming out of college but because of health issues hasn't made the NBA:
Quote:
I'm curious about one player from the 2006 draft, who, to my complete surprise, wasn't drafted. I'm talking about Mike Gansey from West Virginia. I thought Gansey was the second-best shooter in college basketball two years ago after J.J. Redick. I was also impressed by his ability to repeatedly make clutch shots down the stretch. I understand he signed with Miami as a free agent but never had an opportunity to try out because of some type of medical problem. Do you know if he's recovered from the aforementioned health problem, and if he has recovered, is he still playing with Miami?
-- Robert, Edgewood, Md.
Gansey is playing for the Clippers' summer league team after missing all of last season with a serious staph infection. In his first three summer league games, Gansey averaged 10.3 points on 47.8 percent shooting (38.5 percent from three-point range). By the way, Gansey's former West Virginia running mate Kevin Pittsnogle is playing for Cleveland's summer league team after spending last season in the Continental Basketball Association.
|
Nets are in need of a combo guard with House and Adams gone and I think Gansey, if healthy, would be a nice pick up for cheap.
Oh, here is his scouting report from Draft Express:
http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=598
Basically a really good shooter, good rebounder for his size, hustles, and smart player but really just a role player and not star potential.

Re: We Can Get These 3 Guards...
Barnes is pissed at his agent, Dan Fegan. He dropped his previous guy Bill Neff, who was with him right out of UCLA back in 2002-3, because he needs a big time agent to get big time money...he hired Dan Fegan, so far nothing. The guy is a system guy. He may fit here, he may not, that's why a lot of teams are giving him small offers, if he don't fit, he's not overpaid, can be easily traded.

He probably would've been a better fit for the Suns than Hill.
